LaToya Myles serves as the AGU Honors & Recognition Committee Chair since 2020. She joined the committee as a member in 2018.
Dr. Myles has been an AGU member since 2003 and is a member of the Biogeosciences and Atmospheric Sciences sections. During Fall Meetings, she has chaired sessions, served on panels, helped improve student presentations and mentored undergraduate students. She is also a member of the advisory board for the AGU Leadership Academy and Network for Diversity and Inclusion in Geosciences (AGU LANDInG).
Dr. Myles is the Director of the Atmospheric Turbulence and Diffusion Division of the NOAA Air Resources Laboratory, where she leads a team dedicated to advancing boundary layer research, climate science and air chemistry. Her research focuses on atmospheric exchange of reactive nitrogen in agricultural and coastal ecosystems. She earned her doctorate from Florida A&M University and her undergraduate degrees from Alcorn State University.
