Today, we are pleased to announce the inaugural editorial team for Community Science Exchange, made up of leading experts and thought leaders around community science who represent all the supporting societies. The web platform and journal are now open for various submissions and contributions.
The AGU Bridge Program seeks to increase diversity in the geosciences by providing students from historically marginalized populations who are looking to pursue a master’s degree or Ph.D. with a network of peers, mentors and advisers to support and serve them before, during and after graduate school.
AGU has awarded travel grants and fellowships to 239 early career professionals and students from around the world. These grants and fellowships will offset the costs of Fall Meeting-related expenses, whether incurred in-person or virtually.
AGU has started to divest its portfolio to strengthen our commitment to mission-related investments and to better align with our strategic plan, which places a strong focus on a sustainable future. This divestment started in October 2021 and will take up to 18 months to complete. As a sign of further alignment with our vision of a sustainable future, AGU Board of Directors has also asked its Finance and Investment Committee to chart a path toward carbon neutrality for all AGU’s investments.
Your commitment makes a difference in AGU’s ability to provide the programs and opportunities for mentoring and professional development that propel our sector forward. As you plan your year-end giving, please consider what you believe makes AGU unique and valuable; the work that AGU does to support and advance the sciences; and how you can help.
