Randy W. Fiser

Randy W. Fiser is AGU's CEO and executive director. He leads AGU's efforts to build upon the last 100 years of scientific advances to expand both discovery and solution-based science through new partnerships. He is passionate about AGU’s commitment to increasing diversity, equity and inclusion in the sciences. Fiser also focuses on advancing sustainability practices and ensuring science becomes a key component for decision-making to protect our planet for future generations.

Before joining AGU, Fiser was the CEO and president of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). Through his work to create values-based messaging on the impact of design, Fiser turned ASID into a leading professional society. He earned his MBA in international business from Georgetown University and his Master of Art in student personnel in higher education from the University of Georgia.
