Sabine Stanley a member of the AGU Board, AGU Council and chair of the AGU Meetings Committee. She has served in other AGU roles, including as president of the Study of the Earth’s Deep Interior focus group, editor of Journal of Geophysical Research – Planets and chair of the Talent Pool Strategy Task Force.
Stanley is a Bloomberg Distinguished Professor at Johns Hopkins University in the Earth and planetary sciences department and the space exploration sector of the Applied Physics Lab. She also leads the Magnetism and Planetary Interiors research group. Prior to joining Johns Hopkins, she was a postdoctoral researcher at MIT and a professor at the University of Toronto. Sabine’s awards and honors include AGU’s William Gilbert Award, a Sloan Research Fellowship and a Canada Research Chair.
